Janelle S. Brown (née Schriever) (born May 6, 1969) was the second wife of Kody Brown. They have six children together and three grandchildren.
Early life
Janelle S. Schriever was born on May 6, 1969 to Robert Schriever and Sheryl Usher. She has at least one sister. Her father died in 1972, when she was only three years old.
At some point while she was still a child, her mother married Merlin Fryer.
Her mother was married to Kody's late father, Winn Brown, making him both her step-father and father-in-law. Her mother passed away on December 7, 2020.
Janelle was born in a long line of Mormons, who do.not practice polygamy. She has stated that she never heard of it, until she met Meri and Kody.
She attended Bountiful High School.
Personal life
Marriage to Adam Barber
Janelle married Adam Barber, who was brother to Meri Brown, in Salt Lake City, Utah, in December of 1988. They divorced for unknown reasons in 1990.
Marriage to Kody Brown
Janelle was introduced to Kody Brown by her first husband's sister Meri, and their friendship grew to a place where it was equal to Janelle's friendship with Meri. The two were spiritually married on January 20, 1993. In December 2022 the pair confirmed their separation.
Children
Kody and Janelle have six children: sons Logan Taylor, Hunter Elias, Robert Garrison and Gabriel; and daughters Madison Rose and Savanah.
Their daughter Madison married Caleb Brush on June 4, 2016. They have one son, Axel James, and two daughters, Evangelynn Kodi and Josephine Lee.
Their son Logan married Michelle Petty on October 22, 2022.
Their son, Garrison passed away on March 5, 2024, from an apparent suicide. He was 25 years old.

Kody was legally married to Meri Barber on April 21, 1990. They got divorced in September, 2014, but remained spiritually married, until they announced that they were officially ending their relationship in January 2023
Kody spiritually married Christine Allred on March 24, 1994. They were divorced in 2021.
Kody spiritually married Robyn Sullivan on May 22, 2010. They were legally married in December 2014, in order for Kody to adopt Robyn's three children.
Divorce Rumors
In mid-2022, rumors started circulating on the internet that Janelle and Kody had divorced. In December of 2022, the pair confirmed these rumours and announced they are seperated.
